The Woodbridge School District is pleased to welcome Dr. David R. Legates as a new member of the Woodbridge Board of Education. Dr. Legates was officially sworn in on Thursday, August 13, beginning his service to the students, staff, families, and community of Woodbridge.

Dr. Legates brings an extensive background in higher education, research, and public service. He is a retired Professor of Climatology and Adjunct Professor at the University of Delaware and earned his Ph.D. in climatology from the university. Throughout his career, he has taught at several universities, held leadership positions within the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Global Change Research Program, and published extensively in his field.

We welcome Dr. Legates to the Woodbridge Board of Education and look forward to his service and commitment to the Blue Raider community.
