Under clear skies and on a beautiful spring evening, Woodbridge High School proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 on Friday, May 29, at 6 p.m. Families, friends, educators, and community members gathered to honor the achievements of the graduating seniors and mark an important milestone in their educational journey.
The ceremony brought together students, staff, district leadership, and members of the Woodbridge Board of Education in a heartfelt celebration of academic achievement, perseverance, and future success. Principal Terri Sharp welcomed attendees and recognized the accomplishments of the graduating class, while district office administrators and school board members joined in honoring the graduates as they prepared to embark on their next chapter.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of the class's top academic achievers. Sarah Shiley introduced Salutatorian Jasmine Truax, who addressed her classmates with words of reflection and encouragement. Katie Kotowski then introduced Valedictorian Lindsey Morales-Lamadrid, whose speech celebrated the resilience, dedication, and shared experiences that defined the Class of 2026.
The ceremony featured musical selections provided by the WHS Bell Choir and Select Ensemble, led by Jolene Workman and Danielle Jones, whose performances added a special touch to the evening's festivities. The presentation of the colors was conducted by the Woodbridge High School MJROTC, demonstrating the professionalism and leadership that characterize the program.
The event was attended by teachers from all four schools within the Woodbridge School District, reflecting the strong support system that has guided students throughout their educational careers. Families and friends filled the venue with pride and excitement as graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas.
