Woodbridge High School seniors Ebony Torres Martinez and Gabriel Morehouse, recently went on Delmarva Life at WBOC studios, to remind our local communities that the annual Festival of Words is returning to Woodbridge High School on Saturday, May 9! This event brings together students, educators, authors, and community members for a full day dedicated to literacy, creativity, and the power of storytelling. Ebony and Gabe’s passion for community involvement and literacy truly embodies the spirit of being a Blue Raider.

This highly anticipated event is free and open to the public, offering engaging opportunities for learners of all ages—from elementary students to adults—to connect with literature in meaningful ways. The Festival of Words has long been a cornerstone event in Delaware, created to inspire a love of reading and writing by introducing participants to diverse authors, ideas, and experiences.
