The Woodbridge School District is proud to announce the building-level recipients of the 2027 Teacher of the Year (TOY) and Educational Support Professional of the Year (ESPOY) honors. These outstanding individuals have earned the distinction of moving forward to the Woodbridge School District Selection Committee, where the District TOY and ESPOY for the 2027 school year will be selected. The district winners will be announced and honored at the WSD End-of-Year Luncheon.

District Selection Process
Building-level TOY and ESPOY honorees will now move forward in the district selection process.
Teacher of the Year candidates will be evaluated in three categories:
Application responses and resume requirements
Classroom observation
Demonstration of the criteria and qualities of a Teacher of the Year
Educational Support Professional of the Year candidates will be evaluated in three categories:
Application responses
Interview responses
Demonstration of the criteria and qualities of an ESPOY
Through this comprehensive process, the selection committee will identify the educator and support professional who best exemplify excellence, leadership, service, and commitment to students across the district.
Behavioral Health Professional of the Year
In addition, the Woodbridge School District has named Taylor Richey, School Counselor at WECEC, as the WSD Behavioral Health Professional of the Year.
Multiple nominations for eligible employees across the district were collected to determine this year’s recipient. From a distinguished pool of nominees, one district representative was selected to receive this recognition. Congratulations to Taylor on this well-deserved honor.
