Woodbridge School District opened its doors to a new school year with a powerful boost of inspiration, as noted speaker and education innovator Adam Welcome spoke to the staff during the Welcome Back Breakfast that WSD hosts each year for their educators and employees. From his signature keynote, “Everything Is Contagious,” Adam reminded educators that “what you do every day, the people around you will start doing… everything is contagious, be contagious for all the right reasons.”

He encouraged teachers and staff to think beyond traditional boundaries. Adam’s message also challenged attendees to shake off outdated constraints.

Drawing from his extensive background—as a former classroom teacher, principal, director of innovation, and co-founder of Kids Deserve It, Adam emphasized the power of positivity, innovation, and self-care. He urged educators to empower students through trust, creativity, and genuine connection, while also remembering: “Kids deserve us at our best.”

His remarks set an energizing tone for the year ahead, inspiring the Woodbridge team to lead with enthusiasm, purpose, and a mindset geared for innovation.
