Woodbridge High School held an informational meeting for fall student-athletes on September 1. Athletes and coaches representing football, cheerleading, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and cross country attended the after-school session.
Athletic Director Marvin Dooley emphasized the importance of serving as positive role models, demonstrating good sportsmanship, and always giving their best effort. “Not everyone can be a star, but you can be a star of your role,” Dooley told the athletes.
Principal Matt Jones encouraged students to enjoy their athletic experience while recognizing the responsibilities that accompany representing WHS. “My message to you is enjoy this time. Make the most of it, but understand that being an athlete at high school carries extra responsibility, and you will be responsible for that,” Jones said.
Athletic Trainer Jaycee Kerrick also provided students with essential information to help them remain safe, healthy, and prepared throughout the fall season.
Good luck Blue Raider athletes!
