Members of the Woodbridge High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team added a championship to their summer after winning the DE Turf Sports High School Boys Summer League. The Blue Raiders began league play on June 10 and competed each Wednesday throughout the summer, concluding their championship run on July 29. Woodbridge faced teams from across Delaware, with many of its opponents representing the Henlopen Conference.
Representing Woodbridge during the summer league were Yosgart Santizo-Rivera, Evan Judy, Brandon Lopez Ramirez, Andy Amalfitano, Ray Anderson, Denny Gonzalez-Ramirez, Eli Chavez-Chavez, Sahir Hernandez-Martinez, Clayber Perez Vasquez, Jenrry Santos-Gonzalez, Diego Bustos-Dominguez, Dylan Garcia-Paz, Jason Santos-Gonzalez, Logan Sears, Logan Marchincin, Jesus Benro Mejia, Ryan Judy, and Angel Aviles-Dominguez.
The team was coached throughout the summer by Nick Costa, Sam Stevens, and Nicole Marchincin, who helped guide the Blue Raiders through weeks of competition and ultimately to the league championship. The summer league provided the players with an opportunity to continue developing their skills, strengthen their teamwork, and compete against programs from throughout the state in preparation for the upcoming high school season.
