This school year, Woodbridge High School established a stakeholder group dedicated to improving student achievement and instructional efficacy in literacy across grade levels, content areas, and student populations at Woodbridge High School.

Titled the Woodbridge High School Literacy Coalition (WHSLC), the group includes a Board of Education member, the district Director of Curriculum and Instruction, high school administrators, department heads, the special education coordinator, and school specialists representing their respective content or expertise areas. Based on a needs assessment conducted during the summer, WHSLC has targeted reading fluency instruction with an interdisciplinary pilot study of evidence-based best practices.
