Special Olympics Unified Sports is an inclusive athletic program that brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete as teammates. At our high school, Unified Sports promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect while giving all students the opportunity to participate in school athletics. The program helps build leadership skills, confidence, and lasting friendships, while creating a more inclusive and connected school community.
Highlights: There has been so much improvement from every player this year. They are learning the aspects of not only teamwork, but sportsmanship and compassion for others. We have four remaining games and hope to pick up a few wins along the way!
