Brew Raiders Coffee Cart is a student-run program operated by our Life Skills classroom. Each week, students prepare and sell hot and cold coffee, hot chocolate, and hot tea, along with a weekly baked good, to staff in our building.
This program is intentionally designed to support real-world skill development. Students practice money math, customer service, and social communication while learning safe and effective food and beverage handling. Brew Raiders provides meaningful, hands-on instruction that aligns directly with the functional and vocational goals of a Life Skills classroom.
Funds raised through the Brew Raiders Coffee Cart are reinvested directly back into our classroom. These funds allow us to continue running the program, support instructional materials, purchase Unified gear, and provide opportunities such as community-based field trips that further promote inclusion, independence, and life skills.
Each week, staff receive an order form where they can select the items they would like and the quantity of each. This process helps students practice order fulfillment, organization, and responsibility while ensuring a smooth and successful experience for everyone involved.
