🎉🦸‍♀️ Happy School Lunch Hero Day! 🦸‍♂️🍎

Today we celebrate the real superheroes of PWES—our amazing nutrition staff! 💙 From early mornings to busy lunch waves, they keep our students fueled, smiling, and ready to learn each and every day.

Thanks to a little help from AI magic, we were able to transform our nutrition team into the superheroes they truly are—and let’s just say, the capes fit perfectly! 🦸‍♀️✨ But in all seriousness, their kindness, hard work, and dedication do not go unnoticed.

They serve so much more than meals—they serve care, consistency, and connection to our students every single day. 🥪🥛🍕

Take a moment to thank a School Lunch Hero today! 👏💫

PWES Conservation Club sponsored a weeklong event to celebrate Earth Week from April 20th - 24th.
We kicked the week off with "Monarch Monday", which was a butterfly scavenger hunt! Each class had to find 20 hidden butterflies throughout the school and record the environmental vocabulary word on the butterfly on a word bank sheet. Each day after that, we focused on different topics, such as recycling, observing nature, and conservation. On Friday, each class that participated in the butterfly scavenger hunt was included in a drawing for a prize! Congratulations to Mr. Barnes and Mrs. Carpenter's Class. Each student won a "rotating earth pen", an earth themed notepad, and a pack of pollinator seeds. Their teachers won assorted succulents. We hope that your child enjoyed these learning activities, and they learned a great deal about how to be environmentally conscious.

Today we celebrated our final PBS event of the year… on the WILD side! 🐾🐍🦘 Our Blue Raiders had an amazing time with our friends from the Coastal Wild Zoo Crew, getting up close and personal with some incredible animals—including a tortoise, an armadillo, and even a kangaroo! This special assembly was earned through students consistently showing CARE-ing behaviors and making positive choices each and every day. We are so proud of the way our students have worked hard to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn! What a fun and memorable way to celebrate their success—way to go, Blue Raiders! 💙🎉
