The Woodbridge School District, in partnership with Finding Me Forward, Inc., invites families to a FREE Family Care Giveaway on Wednesday, October 21, from 4:30–6:30 PM at the Woodbridge ECEC Gymnasium!
Families can receive free personal care and feminine hygiene essentials, brand-new bras and underwear in all sizes, and fresh vegetables.

🌸💐 Spreading Kindness, One Flower at a Time!
Today, the PWES Conservation Club, led by Pam Vanderwende and parent volunteers, celebrated Petal It Forward, a global initiative focused on spreading kindness and brightening someone's day! This was funded by individuals and they distributed about 400 flowers to all staff at PWES, ECEC, WMS, and SCOPE. Club members shared flowers and heartfelt notes with staff, reminding them just how much they are appreciated and loved.
Students and parent volunteers helped assemble the flowers, and we even had enough to give to the bus drivers at PWES.
What a beautiful example of kindness and the caring spirit of our Built Blue community!
On Friday, October 16th, Phillis Wheatley Elementary School is going PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Students and staff are encouraged to wear pink shirts to show their support and help spread awareness. 💕
Reminder: Dress code bottoms are still required. Students who do not participate must follow the regular dress code.

Students at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School took a well-deserved break from their classwork to enjoy recess on a beautiful fall day! Fresh air, sunshine, laughter, and time with friends are great reminders that balance is important—even for our youngest learners.
While working hard in the classroom matters, so does taking time to recharge, have fun, and enjoy the little moments that make each day special!

You could be the next Little Miss Apple Scrapple!
The Little Miss Apple Scrapple Pageant is open to girls aged five through eight who reside in the Woodbridge School District. The contest will be held on Friday, October 9th on the stage behind the Fire Hall.
The registration fee is $25. All proceeds will benefit the Apple Scrapple Festival Scholarship Fund. For more information and a registration form, visit www.applescrapple.com or contact the contest coordinator.

Phillis Wheatley Elementary School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ryan Stafford of Stafford Property Services for generously donating his time and providing a free power-washing service for the school’s Secret Garden.
The Secret Garden was designed by the PWES Conservation Club and built by volunteers in 2013. Over the years, dirt and algae had accumulated throughout the space. Ryan’s work made an incredible difference, restoring the garden’s walls, sidewalks, bench, and fountain to look like new.
The transformation is especially impressive in the before-and-after photos, and PWES is excited to once again have this beautiful outdoor space available for students and staff to enjoy.
We are grateful to Ryan for his time, generosity, and support as we work to revive and care for our school gardens. His contribution is a wonderful example of the community partnerships that help make Woodbridge Built Blue.

On Tuesday, Woodbridge School District joined Delaware Technical Community College, district leaders, cooperating teachers, and the newest Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education residents to celebrate the power of partnership and the beginning of an exciting school year.
We are proud to welcome 8 residents (student teachers) to Woodbridge this year:
