🌸💐 Spreading Kindness, One Flower at a Time!
Today, the PWES Conservation Club, led by Pam Vanderwende and parent volunteers, celebrated Petal It Forward, a global initiative focused on spreading kindness and brightening someone's day! This was funded by individuals and they distributed about 400 flowers to all staff at PWES, ECEC, WMS, and SCOPE. Club members shared flowers and heartfelt notes with staff, reminding them just how much they are appreciated and loved.
Students and parent volunteers helped assemble the flowers, and we even had enough to give to the bus drivers at PWES.
What a beautiful example of kindness and the caring spirit of our Built Blue community!

Woodbridge Early Childhood Education Center kicked off its reading incentive program with a fun-filled Fall Reading Rally designed to get students excited about reading and celebrate their progress throughout the school year.
Through the program, students can earn Brag Tags to proudly display on their bookbags. Students receive Brag Tags for reaching new levels in the reading program, as well as for reading books both in the classroom and at home.
The Fall Reading Rally brought plenty of excitement to the school, including grade-level “Hungry Hungry Hippos” competitions that had students and staff cheering on their classmates.
Students also welcomed special Secret Readers, including Assistant Principal Brittany Thornton, Constable Weldon Heyward, and Counselor Taylor Richey, who helped make reading an exciting part of the celebration.
The rally was a great way to launch a year of reading at ECEC while encouraging students to build their skills, develop confidence, and discover the joy of books. As students continue working toward their reading goals throughout the year, their growing collections of Brag Tags will serve as a fun reminder of their hard work and accomplishments.
At ECEC, every page turned is another step toward becoming a stronger reader!
