🍕🌟 Shout-out to our December Cafeteria Stars — Mrs. Spotz’s Homeroom! 🌟🍕
This fantastic group of students stood out all month by showing excellent manners, positive behavior, and teamwork in the cafeteria. Their hard work paid off with a well-earned pizza party on Friday afternoon, generously provided by Hungry Howie’s Pizza!
Way to lead by example and show what it means to be respectful and responsible. We’re so proud of you, PWES! 💙🤍🍕

This year, the PWES Conservation Club is proudly celebrating its 20th Anniversary 🎉 and has been busy making a big impact over the last three months! 🌱
They kicked things off with their “Clean Schools and Kind Kids” initiative, encouraging everyone to care for our school and the environment. Their first focus was increasing our bird population by creating birdwatching stations 🐦—and thanks to the generosity of many sponsors, they are close to reaching that goal!
The club also brought holiday cheer and natural beauty to our courtyard by decorating it with a stunning Christmas tree 🎄 and designing a beautiful arched entryway filled with butterflies, berries, and greenery 🦋🌿.
This past week, students enjoyed an extraordinary visit to Longwood Gardens, where they explored the gardens in beautiful weather 🌸, learned about the history of the DuPont family, and were inspired by the connection between nature and conservation.
We can’t wait to see all the amazing projects they have planned for the rest of the school year! 💚

Our Let Me Run team spent their first day of winter break taking on their first 5K at Cape Henlopen State Park on Saturday! 🏃♂️❄️🌊
What an incredible way to kick off break—showing determination, teamwork, and perseverance every step of the way. We are so proud of these runners for setting a goal, putting in the work, and crossing that finish line with confidence! 💪👏
Way to go, team! You truly represent the best of PWES! 🏅💙🤍🩶

It was a full day of festive fun at PWES as we wrapped up our final school day of 2025! 🎄✨
The Grinch made a special appearance at arrival, students showed up dressed their best for Fa-la-la Fancy Day, our staff enjoyed a mobile hot chocolate bar ☕, and we celebrated with pizza parties for our food drive and door decorating contest winners 🍕🎉. We also ended the day on a high note with an awesome holiday assembly performance by our Woodbridge High School Performance Ensemble—what a treat! 🎶👏
Please note: the PWES main office will be closed until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5th.
From all of us at PWES, we wish you a wonderful Winter Break and Happy Holidays! ❤️❄️🎁
