The Woodbridge School District proudly recognized excellence in education and service during its annual End-of-Year Luncheon, held to celebrate the close of the 2024–2025 school year. Among the highlights of the event was the announcement of the district’s top honors for Teacher of the Year, Educational Support Professional of the Year, and Behavioral Health Professional of the Year.
These outstanding individuals were recognized not only for their commitment to the students and families of Woodbridge, but also for their exceptional dedication, compassion, and leadership across their respective roles.
Teacher of the Year: Danielle Jones – Woodbridge High School
Danielle Jones, Performing Arts Teacher at Woodbridge High School, was named Teacher of the Year for the Woodbridge School District. Ms. Jones is known for her passionate commitment to performing arts education and her ability to inspire creativity, confidence, and collaboration in her students.
Educational Support Professional of the Year: Constable David Taulbee – Phillis Wheatley Elementary School
Constable David Taulbee was honored as Educational Support Professional of the Year for his outstanding service at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School. With a calm and steady presence, Constable Taulbee provides a sense of safety, support, and trust for students and staff every day. His dedication to building positive relationships and maintaining a secure learning environment is deeply appreciated throughout the school community.
Behavioral Health Professional of the Year: Mallory McConnell – Woodbridge Middle School
Mallory McConnell, School Psychologist at Woodbridge Middle School, was named Behavioral Health Professional of the Year for her unwavering commitment to supporting students’ emotional well-being and academic success. Through her expertise, empathy, and collaborative spirit, Ms. McConnell plays a critical role in helping students overcome challenges and thrive both personally and academically.
As the school year comes to a close, the district celebrates the achievements of these honorees and all staff members who contribute to making Woodbridge a place where students are supported, empowered, and inspired to succeed.
