Retirees

As one chapter closes, another begins—filled with new adventures, reflection, and the well-earned freedom that comes after a career of dedication and service. On the evening of June 4th, the Woodbridge School District gathered to celebrate and honor the retirees of the 2024–2025 school year, recognizing their profound impact on students, colleagues, and the school community as a whole.

The reception served as a time to reflect on the years of commitment, the countless lives touched, and the legacy each retiree leaves behind. More than just educators and professionals, these individuals have been mentors, role models, and friends.

This year, the district proudly honored the following retirees:

Charles Ivins – WECEC Elementary Teacher
25 Years in Education, 7 Years with Woodbridge School District

Suzette Marine – Special Education Instructional Specialist
25 Years in Education, 7 Years with Woodbridge School District

Melissa Mitchell – WECEC Elementary Teacher
35 Years in Education, 34 Years with Woodbridge School District

As they transition into retirement, we hope they find joy in new experiences—whether that means traveling the world, starting a new hobby, spending more time with loved ones, or simply enjoying quiet mornings without an alarm clock. They’ve earned every moment of rest, exploration, and peace that comes with this new season.

Retirement may mark the end of daily routines in the classroom or office, but it’s also the beginning of a new story. The Woodbridge School District extends its deepest gratitude and best wishes to our retirees. Your contributions will never be forgotten, and you will always be part of the Blue Raider family.

Congratulations and happy retirement!
