Tomeski Presenting

Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School recently welcomed members of the Bridgeville Fire Department for an important presentation on fire prevention and safety.

Students gathered in the cafeteria by grade level to hear from Lieutenant Tomeski and Firefighter Willey, who shared valuable information on fire prevention and safe emergency response.

During the presentation, students reviewed the EDITH (Exit Drills in the Home) acronym and learned the importance of having a family fire escape plan. The firefighters also discussed smoke detectors, what to do if a fire occurs while students are in their bedrooms, and common kitchen fire hazards.

The presentations provided students with practical, potentially lifesaving information they can share with their families.

Thank you to Lieutenant Tomeski, Firefighter Willey, and the Bridgeville Fire Department for taking the time to educate our Blue Raiders and helping keep our school community safe!Fire Prevention presentationGirls at Fire Prevention presentation
