Phillis Wheatley Elementary School is proud to recognize fourth grade student Harper Holmes for an outstanding achievement in the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association Fire Prevention Contest.
Harper earned first place at the county level for her fire prevention essay and then advanced to win first place in the entire state of Delaware—an impressive accomplishment that reflects both her strong writing skills and her understanding of the importance of fire safety.
Through her essay, Harper demonstrated creativity, thoughtfulness, and a clear message about how individuals and families can help keep their homes and communities safe. Her work stood out among many entries across the state and captured the attention of contest judges.
We are incredibly proud of Harper for representing Phillis Wheatley Elementary School with excellence and for using her voice to promote such an important message. Congratulations to Harper and her family on this well-deserved recognition!
